This shade system is featured on 2009 and 2010 models from manufacturers including Tiffin, Foretravel, Silver Crown, Triple E, Winnebago, Itasca, NuWa, Four Winds, Renegade, Monaco, Holiday Rambler, New Horizons, Newell, Newmar, Gulf Stream, Mandalay, Beaver, Damon, and others. When you drive up to our plant in Red Bay, Alabama, you won't come across a slick corporation operated by far-flung investors. Tiffin is always looking for new ways to build more value into its motorhomes. The company has long been known for our impeccable customer service. But what many people don't realize is that Tiffin has also been a leader in industry innovations, As a result of listening to customers, Tiffin has introduced a number of groundbreaking products and processes. TIFFIN PARTNERS WITH MCD Beginning in March 2007, Tiffin and MCD partnered together to introduce the innovative MCD American Duo Day/Night Shade System on certain 2008 model Tiffin Motorhomes. In March 2007, MCD American Duo Shades became standard in all 2008 Tiffin Allegro Bus models; powered/switch controlled for the windshield and manually operated elsewhere throughout the coach. In May 2007, MCD American Duo Shades became standard in all 2008 Tiffin Zephyr models; powered/switch controlled for the windshield and powered/remote controlled elsewhere throughout the coach. Also in May 2007, MCD American Duo Shades became standard in all 2008 Tiffin Phaeton models; powered/switch controlled for the windshield and manually operated throughout the rest of the cockpit area. By the time 2009 models were introduced (beginning in March 2008), MCD American Duo Shades had become standard in virtually all Tiffin coaches. All Allegro Bay, Allegro Bus, Phaeton, and Zephyr models had MCD American Duo Shades as standard in the cockpit areas. Powered/remote controlled shades for the living area were introduced as an option in the Allegro Bus, but due to their popularity, soon were on virtually every Allegro Bus produced. In November 2008, the MCD American Duo shades were made standard in the 2009 Allegro making Tiffin the first OEM coach manufacturer to make the MCD American Duo Day/Night Shade System standard in all models of coaches produced. MCD American Duo Shades continue to be standard in ALL 2010 Tiffin coaches. Many other RV manufacturers have since followed Tiffin's lead and have also switched to the MCD American Duo System. But Tiffin should be applauded for being the first OEM manufacturer to listen and respond to their customers' requests for a shade system that would be better, more effective, and easier to live with than the conventional, troublesome pleated shades and curtains.
